Mid-Year Freak-Out Book Tag
If you’re part of the online book community and on social media platforms, then you’ve probably seen a huge amount of videos and posts with the mid-year freak-out book tag. I know a lot of book reviewers and content creators do this book tag every year. They are a lot of fun to watch. They are some of my favorite videos of the year by my favorite BookTubers.
I had a lot of fun doing this tag last year, so I’m doing it again this year. This will probably be a book tag that I do every year. I also added more questions that I saw another BookTuber do, so I have 20 questions to answer in this book tag. For this episode, I’ll only choose books from what I’ve read so far this year, from January through June.

A new-to-me author is Gabrielle Meyer who wrote the Timeless series, which is a new all-time favorite series. I’ve read the first three books in the series so far, and I’ve given each one five stars. They are perfection!
A debut author that I really enjoyed was Allie Millington who wrote Olivetti, a middle grade book that I gave five stars. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I did change my reading goal because I knew I could get a lot more books in before the end of the year. I increased my GoodReads Reading Challenge from 125 to 175. Absolutely, I know I’ll reach my goal!

Here are a few things that I want to work on in the second half of the year:
- Take better notes as I’m reading a book so I can write better reviews
- Write the review as close to finishing the book as possible instead of waiting so long
- Focus more on my 24 in 2024 book list
- Read more NetGalley ARCs (and not request so many)
- Don’t burn myself out by getting so many books via the library app
