The Fairy Godfather
by Melanie Karsak

Summary
What happens when a fairy godfather falls in love?
With my excellent track record as a fairy godfather, the elders sent me to Chancellor on a mission to help Alice, the quirky owner of the local bagel shop, find her Prince Charming. No one has managed to find a match for Alice. Where they failed, I will succeed. The only trouble? My head isn’t in the game because I’m too busy falling in love with my best friend’s sister. I’ll need to get my feelings in check before I blow it for Alice.
The upcoming Cherry Blossom Ball should give me the perfect venue to make a little magic happen. Can I pull it off before the clock strikes midnight on both our dreams?
My Review
I absolutely adore this author and her cozy fantasy novella series! While you could read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order since familiar characters from previous books make appearances, adding extra depth and charm to the story.
In this novella, we follow the romance of Viola and Rayne, whom we first met in book two. I loved that they got their own story—it felt like a well-deserved spotlight. I also really enjoyed learning more about Alice, whose presence added another layer of intrigue. This book has the feel of a modern Cinderella retelling, but with a delightful twist: instead of a fairy godmother, we get a fairy godfather. It was absolutely adorable, filled with swoon-worthy moments that made my heart so happy and giddy. Watching Viola and Rayne’s love story unfold was pure magic.
The creativity and imagination woven into this series are truly special. This book, like the others, is light, fluffy, and brimming with whimsy—perfect for when you need a comforting, feel-good read. It’s the ideal palette cleanser after a heavier or longer book, and its quick pacing makes it easy to finish in a day (or even in one sitting if you have the time!). Plus, it’s a clean, closed-door romance, making it a great pick for those who prefer sweet love stories without spice.
Highly recommend this one, especially if you love cozy fantasy with a touch of fairy-tale magic!
