As 2024 winds down and we gear up for the new year, I’ve been reflecting on all the books I want to dive into in 2025.

Last year, I set a goal to read 24 books in 2024. So far, I’ve made it through 12—not bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement. It’s easy to get distracted by other titles, especially as a mood reader. If I’m not in the mood for a particular book, I won’t force myself to read it, which means some from this year’s list will have to roll over to next year.

For 2025, I’m keeping things simple by setting a goal of 12 books—just one a month. That feels manageable and takes the pressure off. With so many amazing recommendations from BookTubers, new authors I’ve discovered, and highly anticipated releases, there’s no shortage of options on my TBR.

But instead of picking the top 12 books myself, I thought I’d try something different. Inspired by fellow content creators, I’ve decided to let my loving and supportive husband, Ryan, choose my reading list for the year. I can’t wait to see what he picks!
