As we’re winding down the year and getting ready for the new year, I’ve been thinking about all the books I want to tackle in 2024.

As I’ve mentioned before, this is my first year in the online book community and following book reviewers, BookTubers, and Bookstagrammers. Throughout the year, I’ve seen numerous recommendations videos, and posts where other readers share their favorite and highly anticipated reads. I’ve been adding ones that sound really good to my TBR book list, and now I’m ready to read some of them next year. 

As I’m preparing for next year, I’ve decided to make my own list of must-reads that are hopefully four to five-star books. Since it’s 2024, I’ve chosen 24 books to read in 2024. None of these are 2024 new releases. They also haven’t been on any of my previous TBR episodes, and they aren’t sequels though some may be the first book in a series. I’ve broken this list down into six genres with four books under each category. 

If you’ve listened to my previous episode when I spoke about my 2024 reading goals and plans, there were many authors that I said I wanted to read for the first time next year. I do have many of those authors on this list. However, I also mentioned in that episode that there were a few more genres of books that I wanted to read and explore. I do not have those on this list. I will weave those books into my monthly reading next year when I feel like reading them. For me, these are must-reads, so I am planning on reading every single one of these next year.

Fantasy:

Well, there you have it, my fellow bookworms – all the top-priority books on my 2024 book list. At the end of next year, I’ll make another episode letting you know if I got to them all or not. I feel like it’ll be easy enough to read them all seeing how many books I read every month, which on average for standard novels is about 8 books.
